Often called Foamex, Foam Board or Compressed Plastic, PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) offers a longer term signage solution than posters or Corflute (see “Corflute”) and a shorter term solution than Metal Signage (see “Metal Signage”).

PVC is lightweight yet rigid with a flat printing surface which makes it ideal for re-usable and portable signage. These characteristics make it the popular choice as an alternative solution;

  • It is rigid and can be printed on both sides, unlike a laminated poster
  • It can be wiped clean, unlike a canvas
  • It has a flat printing surface and is rigid, unlike Corflute which is channelled
  • It is rigid and can firmly affix as required, unlike banners generally
  • It is lightweight and safe on fingers, unlike metal signage which is less portable

    • PVC is a digital media, which means you can print any image– whether font, picture or a mixture of the two – directly onto the surface. Immaterial of what image you print, the price remains the same for each surface printed.

    If you are intending to hang PVC, think about whether you’d like eyelets along the top or in each corner.
    Ricci works with a 3mm PVC as a standard. Assorted thicknesses are available on request at an additional fee. Maximum standard sheet sizes are 2440 x 1220mm. Oversize sheets are available on request at an additional fee.
