Media used on cars differs from standard adhesives due to the longevity required from both the colour and adhesion of the material. There are 4 media types commonly used on vehicles. They are as follows;

  • Car Adhesive - Color Cut Outs: Often called plotted vinyl, rolls are supplied colour prepared from which cut-outs are taken. This material provides a strong depth of colour and is generally the preferred material however, when several colours are required, a photo or a shaded image, this becomes a very expensive option.
  • Car Adhesive – Digital Print: As the name suggests, this is where a digital print is made of any image, logo, or text that is then cut into the required shape. Cars that are “wrapped” are made of this material
  • Car Adhesive – One-way Vision: Used on windows, this material is perforated with a high number of small holes allowing vision through the material from the rear.
  • Car Magnetics: These are magnets that are cut to size to fit doors, bonnets, or any other part of the car that is generally flat. These are easy to apply and just as easy to remove.

    • As magnetics are a digital print media, any image can be printed onto the surface.
